Khe Nang school
In 2017 Walhampton started an exciting link with a new school in Cambodia through the charity ‘United World Schools’. Through the generosity of the school community, Walhampton raised the funds to build a school in Khe Nang in Northeast Cambodia, which opened its doors to 130 children in September 2017. Staff and parents from Walhampton visited in the Easter holidays of 2018 and came back with wonderful stories to share with the children, who are now committed to raising money every year to fund the school.
The school contributed £8,000 in 2017/18 from all its fundraising activities.

The Honeypot Children's Charity
From September 2019, Walhampton will be supporting The Honeypot Children’s Charity.
Honeypot works to enhance the lives of young carers and vulnerable children aged 5 – 12 years old. It is the only charity in the UK to provide respite breaks and ongoing outreach support throughout a child’s formative years. Honeypot gives young carers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provides a safe, nurturing environment where children at risk can develop their full potential.

Owl Corner Tea
During the summer term and the first half of the autumn term parents are invited to join us every Thursday in Owl Corner for tea, cakes and savoury snacks. This is a lovely opportunity for parents to socialise with other parents whilst the children play. Donations are split between our school charities with a percentage of the money going towards something extra special for the Pre-Prep. For example, in 2018 the money raised was put towards the purchase of a friendship bench for the playground.

Thursday 12th September - Walhampton hosted raising £100.02 for Cancer Research
Thursday 19th September - Year two parents hosted raising £65.00
Thursday 26th September - Year 1 parents hosted raising £65.00
Thursday 3rd October - Reception parents hosted raising £50.76
Autumn term 2018 Fundraising:
Thursday 20th September - £62.90 for the Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
Thursday 27th September (Reception) -£82.75 for our school charities.
Thursday 4th October (Year 1) - £106.11 which was donated to Sam’s Research Foundation
Thursday 11th October (Kindergarten) - £59.60 our school charities.
